Story behind this food blog
Hi everyone, I am Irina and I am happy you visited my blog
today. I live in Dublin, Ireland Birimngham, UK with my wonderful husband and our two children,
Aminah and Ilyas. I started The Coffee Break in March 2010 when I was on
maternity leave and I needed some kind of hobby or creative outlet, which led
me to two of my biggest passions – cooking and photography.
This blog is about simple yet flavourful cooking, suitable
for all family. I love to explore different tastes and different cuisines, so
you can expect to find it here.
My blog is continuously changing and growing as I learn
about all aspects of blogging and finding what suits and what’s not. So bear
with me.
Five facts about me:
1. I am Russian, but I was born in Latvia.
2. I met my husband on O’Connally Bridge, in
Dublin. He claims I smiled at him first, and that’s the reason he come up to me,
but I deny it cause it’s not true. So we still debate about it almost 15
years on.
3.I am huge
coffee addict.
4. I am big procrastinator, it takes me a while
before I actually sit down and do things.
5. I am early riser. I am up at 5 am almost every
day. I prefer to wake up before my children and enjoy first cup of coffee in
peace.
